What is the experience?
This journey connects you with ancient Australia. As you’ll see in this video, together with a First Nations guide, you’ll experience the majesty of Yellow Water Billabong. You’ll see wildlife waking up amidst the quiet, reflecting waters. The call of the magpie geese, crocodiles shimmering by as eagles soar through the changing light. All while learning about the global significance of Kakadu National Park. We took the sunrise tour, which we highly recommend.

You won’t be surprised to learn that these wetlands helped make Kakadu National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
How do you get there?
The Indigenous-owned Yellow Water Cruise departs from Cooinda Lodge, which is 55 kms from the township of Jabiru, the only town situated in Kakadu National Park.
How long should you stay?
Kakadu offers so many experiences and you could easily spend a week here but Yellow Water Billabong is one of the most beautiful day tours you can do within the national park.
